Detya.gov.au/highered/eippubs/eip01_2/ This investigation examined how the link operates in three different universities - the University of Ballarat, the University of Western Australia and Curtin University of Technology. The project included semi-structured interviews with key members staff teaching in humanities and social sciences, sciences and the professions to review current policies , identify examples of best practice and some of the constraints faced by academics in linking the two. They are investigating the what, where and how of linking teaching with research and consultancy in the disciplines of Planning, land and Property Management, and Building. Their aim is to improve the quality of teaching and consequently the standard of their graduates and hence their employability. |
