Playing your lectures
Remember: You must Install
Quicktime before you can play lectures.
After you have installed QuickTime and chosen a
lecture and a bandwidth, a window opens and a copyright
notice appears. You acknowledge this by pressing
'Continue'. The playback controls then become visible
in the top left of the 'Lecture Caster' window:

Playing the sound and visual recordings
As soon as you acknowledge the copyright notice,
the recording begins to play. The sound and visuals
are played together (unlike the PowerPoint slides
which you will choose separately).
A number of controls for sound and visual recordings
are available in the top left panel:

You can adjust the sound level, pause, play, fast
forward or rewind:

You can also move to different parts of the lecture
by clicking or dragging on the slider. This is useful
if there is a long period of silence on the recording,
eg where the face-to-face class had a coffee break.
Just drag the slider to skip the blank section.
Above the slider is a 'timer' that shows you how
far the sound recording has reached. This time changes
as the lecture is played or you move the slider:

You know that your lecture is playing if the timer
is changing. If the
timer is changing but you can't hear or see your
lectures, click here.
If the volume is too
low, click here.
